Naga

Part of a series of works for my Final Year Illustration Project in 2011.

One of the dragons who is a weather and ocean master, and upon defeat, will bestow the power of thunder and ocean magic.

Nagas are the more common manifestations of the overlords who has eastern blood in their veins. Of them all, the last Naga overlord, Lord Anouvong, took to the ocean and stayed there ever since his death. He is known to bring forth storms wherever he gets angry, and swiftly destroy anything that threatens him.

Like most overlords of the draconic bloodline, their power comes from the golden orb at their throats. To defeat them, one just has to destroy the orb, and if one is capable enough, he or she can take the power released by the orb (which differs depending on what the overlord controls). In this case, the Naga's power is over water and thunder.
